Belt conveyors are used for conveying loose and piece loads in horizontal manner as well as inclined at an angle of 18-20°, and for transporting components between different operations in assembly-line production. They are widely used in all sectors of industry and are part of major fuel transportation systems used in electric power stations and for surface and subsurface transportation of coal and mining rock, ores, minerals, coke, and construction materials. Belt conveyors are part of demountable excavators, loaders, etc. They are given prevalence due to their high performance (up to 30,000 tons per hour), large transportation distances, simple design, and high operational reliability. By location, belt conveyors are categorized into stationary/mobile and movable/transferable.
