Black peat is characterised by dark colour (almost black), high rate of decomposition (more than 35 %), absence of fibres, low moisture-holding ability (no more than 400 %). Structure of black peat is similar to a usual ground, volume weight of black peat from 350 kg/m3 to 1000 kg/m3.
