Ammonium saltpeter (NH4NO3) is manufactured by neutralizing nitric acid with ammonium hydrate. Two types are available:
Type A is used in the manufacture of explosives and industrial mixtures.
Type B is used in agriculture as a highly effective, nitrogen-rich fertilizer which can be applied to winter grain crops, pastures, hayfields and permanent grasses.
Distribution in granules. The granules are treated with anti-clodding chemicals.
